This year we are very excited to announce the all new Vortex programme of combined visuals and sound, which forms part of a multidisciplinary spectrum of arts through performance, sound and installation as well as action, discussion and intervention.
We are relocating the artist plinth from the traditional and formal locations of museums and galleries to an outdoor rural environment, where objects and modes of display can be considered within the context of Supernormal.
Following an A-N funded research trip to Scotland, first-year MFA students from Glasgow School of Art have been selected to make new work for the project. Further information to follow.
The Supernormal Super Sensory Summer School (SSSSS) will run workshops that think through, recreate and reimagine the history, prehistory and possible futures of Braziers Park School of Integrative Social Research. It will simultaneously be the process of working out how to make a video about this, that could be repurposed for a promotional video for the i.u. – Braziers’ new and so far speculative educational programme.
The workshops will be presentations followed by open round-table sensory discussions that will determine what will happen in the outdoor space of the festival in the SSSSS sandpit. They will travel through time, weaving through Braziers’ themes of evolution, ecology and pacifism.
